‘Northern Rewards’ Sets Out Its Stall

The great and the good from the North of England road haulage industry travelled to Harrogate to attend the inaugural Transport News Northern Rewards celebration breakfast, held alongside the annual Tip-ex/Tank-ex Show.

HARROGATE’s Royal Hall, a resplendent example of Victorian architecture, harking back to when the beautiful Yorkshire town was popular as a Spa retreat, once more took on the mantle of the ideal background for a showcase event, this time for the Transport News Northern Rewards presentation breakfast which began in traditional style with a ‘Full Yorkshire’ breakfast for all 230 guests.
Transport News founding editor Alistair Vallance then introduced not only a busy awards programme, but the morning’s popular presenter, well known Yorkshire media man Harry Gration who professionally steered the event through all 15 categories, introduced a comedy spot from Scott Bennett and master minded the ‘Top Table Draw’, the Top Livery final and the popular raffle for Transaid, the event’s chosen charity.
