McLaughlan Transport invests in Carrier Transicold units to ‘save fuel’

McLaughlan Transport has added three more Carrier Transicold Vector HE 19 units to its trailer fleet after being impressed by the fuel-saving performance of previous units.

The latest temperature-controlled assets are again mounted to 13.6m Gray & Adams trailers and join a 70-strong fleet at the Scottish transport firm.

The Vector units combine all-electric technology with a multi-speed engine design, which Carrier said delivers up to 30% fuel savings when compared to its previous generation Vector 1950.

“For more than three decades, Carrier has introduced cutting-edge new products that deliver both efficiency and performance to our fleet,” said George McLaughlan, director at McLaughlan Transport.
