UKWA National Conference 2025 Latest And WM-CPC Launched

The UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) has announced the headline sponsor for its 2025 National Conference at East Midlands Conference Centre on Wednesday 5 March, is Kallikor.

It is a new startup has spun out from metaverse pioneer Improbable to accelerate the adoption of automation and robotics in supply chains.

Kallikor is led by a team with a decade’s heritage in AI, simulation and building virtual worlds. Its flagship AI-powered platform Adaption specialises in turning complex, real-world environments into simplified digital simulations.

In addition, Martin Brickell, Director and Practice Lead for Fulfilment & Physical Logistics at Accenture UK, will join a distinguished line-up as a keynote speaker on AI. Other speakers include Richard Lim, CEO of Retail Economics, James Turpin, Director of Logistics at NHS Supply Chain, and Kevin Mofid, Head of EMEA I&L Research at Savills.

The UKWA has unveiled a streamlined new look for its Warehouse Manager CPC (Certificate of Competence), which was launched in January last year.

The CPC course previously included 10 days of classroom learning and a site visit. From February 2025 the course offers a new blended format with on-demand learning resources, including 15 units covering topics such as inventory management, health & safety and warehouse automation, all available via the UKWA App.

This will be complemented by five days of face-to-face tutoring, with focussed in-class days led by industry experts, hands-on group exercises, case studies, peer networking, and a warehouse site visit.
