It’s National Apprenticeship Week and one of the major themes this year is equipping young people with skills for life. There has never been a more crucial time to get more drivers on the road, and apprenticeships can be part of the solution to this growing issue. They’re a great choice for young people which allow them to earn while they learn and get valuable on-the-job experience.
To keep pace with industry needs there will be a huge number of job openings available in driving positions – and similarly transport managers, technicians, warehousing specialists and more – each filling their critical roles in the UK economy. Skills learned in apprenticeships can give people talents they can carry with them throughout their working lives.
