The haulage alliance between Davies Turner and Transport Equipment Services (TES) has evolved with the addition of two new trucks to carry out work, writes Peter Brown.

The two Renault’s T-High tractor units recently acquired by TES are now in operation for Davies Turner, who operate from Trafford Park Manchester and two sites in Scotland at Hillington, Glasgow and Cumbernauld.

Director of Davies Turner Alan Williams said the alliance was strengthening the strategic partnership between the two companies and continuing the shared commitment to reliable, modern, and efficient transport services.

He said: “Our alliance with TES helps us to offer merchant haulage, which is more advantageous if a client needs flexibility, variety, availability and reliability.

“It enables us to book haulage in advance and guarantees that the tractor unit will be available when and where we want it. It has helped us to secure timely transport of our clients’ containers in a challenging haulage market.”

The trucks are equipped with the security, telematics, and driver comfort technology, and will support Davies Turner’s nationwide and European logistics operations.

Dave Burgess, director of TES, added: “Davies Turner is a very important customer and an outstanding partner. It is really pleasing that our relationship continues to develop and grow.

“We are pleased to commit two of our newly acquired trucks to serving the company’s haulage requirements. Both are fully specified to meet Davies Turner’s operational needs and reflect the high standards to which we both work.”
