Synetiq, one of the UK’s leading vehicle salvage and recycling businesses, has taken delivery of nine DAF LF 12 tonne recovery trucks from MV Commercial to improve the efficiency and carbon footprint of its operations. The recovery trucks have arrived with the Doncaster 0headquartered company as part of a fleet renewal project. Equipped with tilt and slide bodies and spec lifts, the vehicles are designed to transport three cars. They are being used to collect salvage vehicles for the insurance industry that are held at garages or policy holders’ addresses. Joining a mixed fleet of 110 vehicles, ranging from 44 tonne artics to 3.5 tonne Transit vans, the recovery units are expected to clock up more than 60,000km per year.
