Edinburgh’s Clean Air Roadshow

THE SCOTTISH Government has committed to introducing low emission zones (LEZs) across its four largest cities by the end of this year, while further air quality hotspot areas are expected to follow suit by 2023.

Glasgow was first off the mark, launching its LEZ in 2018 focusing firstly on the bus sector, this will extend to all vehicles by the end of 2022.

Meanwhile, Edinburgh’s LEZ is rapidly taking shape following public consultation, alongside plans from Aberdeen and Dundee.

To explain how the new regulations will impact on truck operators Transport News is teaming up with sister title Motor Transport magazine to host a special ‘Low Emission Zone Roadshow’ at BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh on Thursday 2 April 2020.

You’ll hear first-hand the details behind Edinburgh’s LEZ from senior council officials. Vehicle technical experts and suppliers will also be on hand.
