Last chance to respond to DfT proposals for changes to Driver CPC

The DVSA is urging anyone who wants to comment on proposals to reduce the minimum course lengths for Driver CPC modules to respond to a consultation that ends at 11.45pm on Thursday 27 April.

The DfT also consulting on how the DCPC qualification is maintained and accelerating the re-entry of returning drivers.

Potential measures under consideration included removing the mandatory requirements around course durations and time limits when a DCPC course is split over two days.

The DVSA said the proposed changes would help tackle the current professional driver shortage and were taken from a review of the current DCPC with vocational stakeholders.
