JAD Trans Scotland Enters Administration

A North Lanarkshire-based haulage firm has entered administration despite ‘significant efforts’ by the directors to keep the business going, writes Chris Tindall.

JAD Trans Scotland appointed French Duncan LLP to handle its affairs on 10 November after it had accrued significant debts which it was no longer able to service. The transport company has now ceased trading.

The haulier held an international licence authorising a total of 20 HGVs and 21 trailers running out of two operating centres in Airdrie.

The vehicle operator licensing database shows that the surrender of the firm’s operating licence is currently being considered by the traffic commissioner.

In a statement, French Duncan said joint administrators Brian Milne and David McGinness had been appointed to handle its affairs.
