AN ORDER for an additional eight DAF trucks for the NHS Blood and Transplant Service (NHSBT) has been fulfilled by Motus Commercial with support from Webasto.
The DAF LF180 rigid trucks were completed in just two weeks to support the movement of essential products needed for critical COVID-19 plasma trials.
Webasto’s parking coolers were specified to be fitted into the DAF cab in order to support driver’s comfort levels, adhere to vehicle idling regulations and, encourage best practice in health and safety.
The Webasto system negates the needs for engines to be kept running during a rest break or whilst awaiting access to depots. Using the cooler, drivers are able to rest or park in comfort whilst the engine is switched off.
