Opening up longer semi-trailers after successful trials should have provided a boon for hauliers and manufacturers alike. Yet, the government introduced new onerous legislation that has put off tenderfoots who might’ve taken advantage, and those that run them seem to prefer refurbishing existing trailers rather than buying new.
