EDINBURGH Zoo has appointed The NWH Group to deliver its gritting services, keeping the venue free of ice all winter.
The zoo is open every day of the year, with the exception of Christmas Day, and is home to more than 2,500 animals from around the world, it is essential that all routes throughout the park remain passable, to ensure the welfare of these precious residents is maintained throughout.
Jamie Campbell, head of corporate sales at The NWH Group said: “One of the immediate impacts that adverse weather has on businesses is their ability to continue trading when hit. But with Edinburgh Zoo, the weather has an even greater impact, the staff need to be able to safely reach all the animals to ensure they are fed, watered, cared for as required, and kept warm.”
