GERMAN manufacturer Schmitz Cargobull officially opened the doors of its Wythenshawe assembly plant, almost two years after it started building trailers for the UK and Ireland markets.
Based in Greater Manchester, it has generated jobs and promises more following the launch of a new ‘freepost’ curtainsided trailer to complement its dry freight Pace box van and Fixed Roof curtainsided trailers.
A recent visit to the impressive plant gave TN a chance to meet Colin Maher, appointed managing director of sales and services back in January 2023, replacing Alan Hunt.
