TIP Group Buys CEM Scotland

To help meet the growing demand for third-party servicing and repair and maintenance work, TIP Group snaps up CEM Scotland, reports Kevin Swallow.

THE TIP Group has bought the independent commercial vehicle repairer CEM Scotland for an undisclosed sum.
It is the second site TIP Group runs in Scotland, with the other site at Chapelhall, Airdrie, which it moved into back in 2019 from Motherwell, and stemmed from the acquisition of D&M Trailer Services in 2014.
Coatbridge based CEM Scotland is five miles from the Airdrie business, employs 22 people, made up mostly of technicians, runs a five-bay workshop, and has mobile engineers. It offers extended workshop hours across the day and 24-hour breakdown recovery.
